Duplin County

Volunteers have opened a Community Resource Center at Pathway Church in Beulaville. They are collecting and distributing water, personal hygiene items, clothing, bedding, etc. 275 N NC Hwy. 41, Beulaville, NC 28518.

New Hanover County:

GAS:
BP on Military Cutoff Rd has gas.
Circle K at Carolina Beach is open and has gas.
Circle K across from Eaton Elementary on Gordon Road opens at 10 a.m. and will have gas.
Costco Gas is open. (Enter through Market St. only)
Exxon at Shipyard and Longstreet has gas. (No propane and no ice available)
Exxon on 17th St. across the hospital has gas.

FOOD
County officials announced three Points of Distribution Sites (PODS) for residents to pick up food starting Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 10 a.m. Meals Ready to Eat (MREs), water, and tarps will be available. After Tuesday, the PODS will operate daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
North POD – Formerly The Rock Church now being used as College Park Elementary at 5301 Sidbury Road in Castle Hayne
Central POD – CFCC’s main downtown campus located at 700 North Front Street. A walk-up option is available.
South POD – Veteran’s Park located at 840 Halyburton Memorial Parkway
Additional locations with food:
Walmart at Monkey Junction is open until 5 p.m. Monday. No ice, limited water, no baby food, limited diapers, limited batteries,no produce, no meat and no gas.

Landfill operations, including household hazardous waste, will open today, Tuesday, September 18 at 6:30 a.m.

Roads in New Hanover County and the surrounding areas are still not safe for travel. For residents out of town, the inland shelters at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Winston-Salem and the Friday Center in Chapel Hill have space available for those in need of a place to stay.

Shelter: Hoggard High School & it will be open to pets.

Bladen County

The Bladen County Emergency Operations will be closing the Elizabethtown Middle School Shelter effective as of 12 pm today, Tuesday, September 18, 2018.

All residents within this shelter will be transferred to the East Bladen High School Shelter located at 5600 NC-87 E, Elizabethtown, NC 28337.

The Bladen County Disaster Relief group would like for all who would like to donate items to contact Kelly at 910-549-4735. If no answer, please leave a message and your call will be returned ASAP.

Sampson County

United Methodist Church, 206 Sampson Street, has soup and some sandwiches for those who need a meal.

Our Special Needs Shelter remains open at our Sampson County Adult Day Care. Those with special medical needs should contact Emergency Management at (910) 592-8996.
Service animals are allowed at general population shelters; however, other pets are not. For those persons going to a shelter and needing emergency pet sheltering for dogs or cats, pet sheltering is still offered at the Sampson County Livestock Arena located at 93 Agriculture Place, Clinton.

Waste Industries has advised that the county’s convenience sites are being evaluated for safe access and are currently closed until this can be completed. Until that is accomplished, there are additional containers placed at the convenience site at the Landfill entrance, 7434 Roseboro Highway.

Harnett County

Harnett County donation sites for Hurricane Florence will open Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at Crossroads Church at 1301 South Main Street, Lillington, and at Gospel Tabernacle Church at 2105 West Cumberland Street, Dunn. Sites will be open for collections from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

All Harnett County Convenience Sites will be open Wednesday – Saturday from 7:30 am – 5:30 pm. 
Both Harnett County Landfills will be open on Wednesday until 4:00 pm (they will not close at noon).
