Lenoir County Updates 9-21
Flood waters continue to rise in Kinston. The Neuse River is expected to crest tonight or tomorrow morning. – Kinston PD
Fresh lunches are being served by the American Red Cross at these following locations for anyone beginning at noon —
* Lenoir Community College
* South Lenoir High School
* Pink Hill gymnasium
* Rivermont Baptist Church, 2478 Hwy 258 South, Kinston
Lenoir County Transit Director Angie Greene, LCES Director Roger Dail, Lenoir County Sheriff Ronnie Ingram, Lenoir County Manager Joey Bryan and LCES Deputy Director Jerri King have worked feverishly with their staff(s) to find a solution to a problem with getting our county dialysis patients to treatment.
All our county dialysis patients will be transported via Lenoir County Transit to a facility in New Bern to receive treatment. Today, there will be five patients transported; altogether, there are a dozen patients.
