Craven County Updates 9-23
Craven County Emergency Management will close and cease operating the Point of Distribution (POD) sites located at Old Family Dollar store, 280 NC Hwy 43 in Vanceboro and No. 9 Township Fire and Rescue, 3783 NC Hwy 55, New Bern at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 23, 2018.
PODs will continue to operate daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the other three POD locations:
Annunciation Catholic Parish, 246 E. Main Street, Havelock, North Carolina.
Tabernacle Baptist Church, 616 Broad Street, New Bern, North Carolina.
Godette Head Start Center, 125 Old Godette School Road, Havelock, North Carolina.
At this time, PODs have a limited supply of cleaning kits, water and meals ready to eat (MREs) to assist residents impacted by Hurricane Florence.
NEW BERN: Just visited the Tabernacle Baptist Church P.O.D. on Broad St. Items in need are diaper sizes 4, 5, 6, cleaning products, and personal hygiene items (especially tampons & deodorant). No food and water needed at this time.
The Havelock Planning Department is open from 8 AM to 5 PM TODAY to provide information about building permits. Please visit City Hall or call (252) 444-6433 for more information.
FEMA Disaster Survival Assistance will be conducting registration intake at their mobile center located behind Havelock City Hall. They will be open daily from 9 AM to 7 PM.
