Carteret County Updates 9-26

The Leon Mann Center will operate as a shelter location for Carteret County residents on Wednesday September 26, 2018 at 12:00 pm until further notice. The shelter will be operated by American Red Cross and can be contacted at the shelter at 252-247-2626.

The shelter located at Newport Middle School will close at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. Those residents sheltered at Newport Middle School will be relocated to the Leon Mann Center shelter.

Lowe’s knows repairing or rebuilding after any major storm can be stressful. And they’re here to help. As part of the community, they know what it’s going to take to recover from Hurricane Florence. So this Thursday, September 27th, they’re offering free hot meals, relief supplies and complimentary phone-charging stations at Lowe’s of Cape Carteret at 401 WB McLean Drive from 11am through 1pm. Rebuilding will take time, but Lowe’s knows what it takes and what it means to make home, home again.

Monday, October 1st, Lowe’s is offering free hot meals, relief supplies and complimentary phone-charging stations at Lowe’s of Morehead City at 5219 Highway 70 from 11am through 1pm. Rebuilding after Hurricane Florence will take time, but Lowe’s knows what it takes and what it means to make home, home again.
